help please b16 crx

i searched the forums and onlines..i prolly suck at searching but still cant find it...i recently swapped a b16 (1st gen) into my rex and i dont know much about cars but when i race my car it lags on rpms...the vtec doesnt push as hard as my friends (same engine, 95 civic)...he takes off like nothing when we race....any help on what can be the problems...preferrably the cheapest mod first...thanx in advance...

oh yeah...i raced a pontiac sunfire (with cold air intake) and i won by half a car....please tell me is this ryte? oh i have a cold air intake and the rest stock...please need help fast...thanx again..!!

Not right. You should rock a sunflower without even having to hit VTEC.

Its not trowing any codes? Check the timing and make sure its right.
