Is my locker breaking?

I have a 2004 with a 5.3 and the locking rear. About 17000 miles. Two or three times now, when making a left turn at slow speed, like into a driveway, the locker will lock and not release. You will feel the truck drag and hear the tires dragging because the locker is locked. It will release eventually when the truck is straightened out. The last time this happened it made more noise than usual when disengaging. Should I have this checked out (still under warranty) or is it normal?
