Magnaflow Exhaust... Will this work!?

Hi All,

I just signed up here to post and through looking through the forums I couldn't find the answer to this...

I just bought a new 2004 Chevy Silverado 1500 5.3L EC/SB truck. Love it so far!!! Only thing is I want it sounding better! I just hear a friend's (2002 GMC 5.3L) similiar truck with the Magnaflow cat-back system with the dual rear exhaust. I want the same exhaust for mine. Now when I look at Magnaflow's website, they say it's for the ~< 2003. I thought the 2003 and 2004s were pretty much the same design?

I looked at some places selling it and a small handful show it for the 04s. I looked up other manufacturers (corsa, bassani, slp, etc.) and their exhaust kits all go from 2000 - 2004.... So my thinking is that if they are the same model numbers for that, wouldn't the Magnaflow then work on the 04s?

The system I'm looking at is the #15792 (http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/cat-backs/chevy.htm) a little over half way down....

Can someone give me an idea if my thinking is correct, or am I going to have issues. I'd like to try to get an idea before I buy the exhaust and find out it doesn't fit.

So my main question is, are the exhausts for the 03s and 04s the same!?

Yeah man, they'll fit either one. All the exhaust for the 99-02 trucks are the same.
