intake minus exhaust?
I have catback exhaust on my 99 accord V6 along with an AEM short ram intake. That's about all for the engine. My question is, how will taking off my exhaust affect anything performance wise. Given that the combo of these don't do much anyways....but would you recomend getting a cold air instead of short ram w/out the exhaust or does it make a difference? or am I concerned about nothing? haha

either one will give you a little bit of preformance.... why do you want to change your intake, either intake will work.........

Re: intake minus exhaust?
Keep the exhaust. Get high flow, low restriction headers, and get the cold air intake.

Re: intake minus exhaust?
All bolt on intakes and exhausts will have very little effect on your car...the sad but true reality. Why spend more money on a different setup that may net you another 3hp...you wont notice it. No matter what intake or exhaust you decide on, you are only looking at 10-15hp tops. Without forced induction(ie, turbo, supercharger, or nitrous), you simply wont net huge powergains from simple bolt-ons. Yes they increase gas mileage a bit, yes they give a bit more hp, and yes they let your engine breathe better, but all in all, don't expect TOO much from them.
I couldn't tell for sure from your post if you meant replacing the catback exhaust, or just taking it off completely and running around without any exhaust...if you meant taking it off completely, don't...it will be obnoxiously loud, you'll lose backpressure and this will result in an actual lose of power. Plus you may even get flames shooting out by your gas tank...typically not the safest thing, nor do the cops enjoy seeing that.
