Small Truck: late 90's S10, Ranger. If you like imports try a Toyota Tacoma. Dodge Durangos are also nice. Those are the main ones i can think of and you can get any of them for $4000, compact trucks are selling cheap.

2 Door Small Car: Civics are always popular and are really reliable. Dodge neons, but i wouldnt recommend one. Chevy Cavaliers, my sister has a 1996 with 165,000 miles on it and has had no problems other than scheduled maintenence. Again there are a lot of choices, and they are all fairly cheap. If you want something more sporty, go for an Eagle Talon or Eclipse (same car) turbo, early 90's.

Look around in your local paper and see what there is, all of these cars are easy to find for cheap, the most rare would be the talon turbo.

Hope this helps you.

Re: Im thinking of buying a new car

the civics sound nice for a first 2nd car, but there are low in power. I would save more money!

I was just recommending inexpensive cars. He didn't say anything about wanting a powerful car though

Re: Im thinking of buying a new car

I picked up a 1991 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX (Turbo+AWD) from my old neighbor for 3 ciggarettes and $20... Just had a blown head gasket... Another $30 and a day later...
