RS beat an LS????

Ok, tell me this just for my own personal benefit....some kid has an rs integra with gsr rims, lowered, subs in the truck, and at least intake on his engine and he says he can take me easily....now i don't know what he's got done to his engine (i'm guessin he's just bullshittin cuz it's an RS) but could he seriosly take me in a race? My mods are listed below and i am getting dc sports 421 headers this week, and also keep in mind that the RS does not come with A/C, and i think he said power steering, so that would make his car a little lighter. Thanx for the help, i wanna embarass this little d*ckhead

maybe

They both have the same motor, the only difference is the RS is lighter because it doesn't have the abs, etc that the LS has. So he may have a weight advantage over you.

So you just have an intake and some heavy ass rims with a heavy box in the trunk and both cars have the same engine.

I guess it's down to which cocky kid can drive better.

the integra RS must be one slow ass car

and your 17" toxxins must add like 50hp

he has the wheight advantage over you...It'll be close but if drivers are even I'm sure he'll edge you out...

btw, wanna race my RS?

Don't laugh TO tegs,

RS must stand for Really Slow, while
LS stands for Lightning Speed
:bonghitte

Ha ha, don't mind me. I like to mock people.

Hey Hookdupteg99, good luck with your race,
and let us know how it went!!!

there is nothing wrong with an rs.

it does come with a/c and power steering, it is lighter than the ls, no sunroof, smaller brakes, and it has the exact same engine. the rims wont add him much weight and the lowering will help him with resistance (not much). in fact the only thing you have going for you is the fact that your car could be newer...and have less wear...

but dont talk smack about the rs..you wouldnt believe how fast it can go.
i could beat you in mine...

so i would say that if he has nothing done to his ride except cold air, and you have nothing done to yours except cold air, then he would probably take you...so i wouldn't start making bets.

i wondered about this. Why is it that in the long term road tests in major automotive magazines, the cars always preform better in acceleration tests when they have 30,000+miles on the clock than when they are new?

It really goes down to who is the better driver. The weight difference he as on you of a RS vs. a LS may not be too much to where he would smoke you badly though.

Because new engines need to break in. Like a baseball glove.

well as far as I know, the LS is the lowest class model, like the accords LX vs EX-i. When I used to have a 91 GS-R and my friend had a 90 LS, I would smoke him all the time!! Mine was 5-spd, his was an auto. at that time i had like no mods done to that car and my friend had an intake and exhaust. and I still beat him. so I think the RS yes, will beat the LS.
Only from my own personal experiences.

actually your wrong too..it went RS, LS, GS, GSR..RS, LS, and GS all have the same engine but the GSR is the only one with vtec..now for gen 2s i dunno much about the GSR but i do know stuff about the LS..the reason u keep on smoking your fren is because u have a GSR for the newer integs it had 170hp and the LS has 140 thats a 30 hp difference no shit your gonna smoke him all the time...as for gen 2s LS has 130hp and the GSR i dunno maybe 160 or 170..not to mention stick vs auto

and i dun think u know from your own personal experience because u didn't race with a RS u raced with a GSR...

i didn't know there was a RS for the 94 models...

I can't believe this conversation is still going on.

LS, RS, SE, GS = FAST
GSR = FASTER
Type R = FASTEST

No more arguing about who will win between LS, GS, RS, SE's cuz they all have the same engine - okay? It's all down to the driver, tranny, mods, weight and age/wear. (of course this is comparing to tegs of the same generation)

Okay.

Buh-bye

I have a 95 RS...the RS was made all the way until the RSX came out..

GSRs came out in 92....for the guy who said he had a 91 GSR..

as was previously mentioned, if both drivers are equal in the RS vs LS then the RS should just barely pull ahead...

lets give you guys some stats...

90-91 integra RS, LS, GS 130hp 121lb-ft

92-93 integra RS, LS, GS 140hp 121lb-ft

92-93 integra GSR 160hp 117lb-ft

94-01 integra RS, LS, GS, SE 142hp 127lb-ft

94-01 integra GSR 170hp 128lb-ft

97-01 integra typeR 195hp 129lb-ft

hey I am not a whiz kid on Tegs, I only had mine for not even 2 months until some F#$%&*n B**&^H nailed me when she ran a fuckin red light!! so my car was a complete write off.

but anyway, I know the fact that the LS is the lower model of Teg. and the GS-R was one of the best, if not the Best mod of teg.

I was not comparing about HP and all that shit, I was just blatenly stating that yes, thr RS should be able to beat an LS!

and yes I did race with mine, I beat a guy with a 95 LS in my 92 GS-R!
so there ya go!
