Re: Next Mods?

I could be wrong but I dont think that coilovers have any effect on the turning radius. You would have to modify the steering column/rack to do that i guess. Anyway next mods should definitely be suspension ( rear sway bar, rear strut tower bar, shocks/struts) because when you make the car handle better and stick to the road it's a lot more fun, especially in the twisties.

Re: Next Mods?

Def. go for suspension modifications next. my mods were cai, i just converted to short ram, muffler but im planning to get magnaflow exhaust, and coilovers. I just got my header in and waiting to install it. You'll like the way your car will handle once you get your suspension done.

Re: Next Mods?

I would go with the headers next. I think I am going to take a pass on the turbo kit. This spring I am planning on going with the Greddy EV02 exhaust, headers and a k & N cold air intake. They have some nice headers on that rippmod.com site but they are asking a lot of money for them. Also I have been hearing some negative feedback about they're customer service.

Re: Next Mods?

did you know with the money that your gonna spend on the cold air intake and the headers from RIPP, thats over 1/3 of the price of the turbo kit. cold air intake + headers = $1500
turbo kit = $3900

Re: Next Mods?

I can get the exhaust, air intake and headers for under 1500. I can actually get all that for probably 1000. To me that is a lot cheaper than spending 4000.00. Not to mention what it will cost in labor.

Re: Next Mods?

nice taurus dude. I want to get a grill mesh for my car to. I like the pictures of some of those girls to from that car wash. (LOL) This spring I am going to do some performance mods but I can't afford to drop 4000.00 on a turbo.

Re: Next Mods?

I like the horsepower gains that they say you get from the headers from RIPP, but some of their prices are kind of high. I have priced headers for a few months now and they do not go for 1,100.00 dollars like what RIPP is charging. So I think I might just wait for DC sports to come out with the headers for my car. I trust their name and their prices are more reasonable. Headers do not go for 1,100.00. They are more like 400.00 - 500.00 range.

Re: Next Mods?

The headers that rippmods has are long tube and tuned headers. headers of that quality cost money. Same as horsepower. You can't go cheap and expect to gain the same amount of power. Plus, you are going to need to get an air/fuel controller to extract maximum gains from headers.

Re: Next Mods?

Don't get me wrong I love the headers they have on RIPP and they say that the horsepower gain from them is in the 45 range. So that is great but not for 1100.00.
There places that have great quality stainless steel headers and they are not trying to break the bank.
