Unhappy Service Engine comes on when it rains, HELP!

Please help me, My splash guard on my aurora is cracked and now everytime it rains, something is getting wet and my service engine light comes on. The car knocks and will stall out unless i am pressing the gas pedal. The car them runs perfectly fine again about 2 days later when it is dried out. Can anybody help? My friend was a mechanic and when he looked at it he told me he didn't see anything the splash guard was protecting that would make the car react like that if they were wet. I'm totally frustrated.

Repair the splash guard. Sorry to be a wise-aker, but that sounds like the problem ... something is getting wet because it's broken.

Re: Service Engine comes on when it rains, HELP!

Take your car to Advance auto parts and find out exactly why your SES light comes on. Chances are you have a QDSM fault caused by water getting into one of the electrical sensors on a Quad Driver Module Port on the ECU
