No Lights in the Radio
I have an 88 Cherokee and the radio works fine, but I can't see any of the stations when tuning....it is a stock radio...there are no other electrical problems with the vehicle....it has power everything, even sunroof....and the all work fine...got any suggestions...???

Radio lights
You aren't going to like to hear this...
On the '88 Jeep Cherokee there's two very small lamps (smaller than xmax lights), one on each side of the screen inside the radio. The leads are soldered in place, and require that the radio be removed and disassemblied in order to replace either of them or both of them. Told you you wouldn't want to hear this... Hmmm... mine are out too. Since it's an older style LCD display, I assumed it was backlit within the radio and not likely worth the bother to fix. I simply program my fav stations and don't worry about the lights (or darkness in this case).
