Electrical problem affects tran (safety mode)
I've struggled with electrical problems due to corrosion for the last 2 years. Always the same sysmptom, after about 15 imnutes of running the transmision will go into safety mode (2nd gear only). I have always fixed it by cleaning or replacing the battery terminals.
The problem appeared again 3 weeks ago and the usual didn't do it. So I replaced both the negative and positive battery cables. I tracked down and cleaned several ground connections. I also cleaned all the conenctions to the drivetrain control module. But the problem persits. Any suggestions what to check next? |
