governor
is that what holds u back if so can u remove it if so is it leagal, if not what is not nessisary on a car that whould be cool to take off

you can take it off but why? its their for a reason, if the enginers thought the car would be safer at higher speeds they would have made the speed limiter at higher speeds.

ya, the governor isn't there just to prevent you from having fun, its there because the car isn't built to go any faster.

Yes you can take it off, but it depends on what kind of car you have. And no it won't blow up if you do.

no, it won't blow up, but you risk catastrophic failure of tires, wheel bearings, and various other rotating or reciprocating parts.
