O this sucks...

Something just occured to me...

Being 17 and all, I must consider insurance... On the Zeds it was only $120 a month of so. Non-Turbos...

How much do you think it will be for a Twin Turbo Five Speed GTO?

... Uh Oh

Re: O this sucks...

full coverage or liability only? if it's liability only the insurance is the same no matter what car you drive.

what state do you live in? how's your driving record?

Re: O this sucks...

A LOT! But premiums are different everywhere and you could always get discounts. Gateway is our insurance guy here so he should be able to tell you better. But a 17 year-old with a VR4 = no money for college. ;o/ Well, not exclusively but it'll be hard I think....I have a '94 SL and feel like I'm dying.

Re: O this sucks...

lol I pay about $200/month for an SL and i'm 19, but your payments seem low to me for a similar car and being younger! So it'll probably be reasonable, just go to an insurance agency (like AAA, they're who I use because they give good discounts on insurance) and tell them to see what a few different cars would cost you to get a general feeling of the price spread, I asked about an SL VR4 camry and civic and the biggest difference was about $75/mo. But thats in eastern MA.

Re: O this sucks...

MA doesn't count for insurance benchmarking. Their rules are so f*cked up. Good for the consumer, bad for the insurer.

Lol so I've noticed, kida sucks though that wherever you go it's the same price. Whats wierd is Geico and others run their ads in MA yet don't operate in the state, kida wierd.

Let me tell you what to look forward to paying. I am 22 with a clean driving record in meaning no speeding tickets nothing. Ok I pay for a 96 3000Gt for Idaho is $1000/6months which is ridiculous since I am 22 and have a clean driving record. I am considering changing companies cause I feel like I am getting ripped.

Haha, I'm 21, clean record, $1000 deductible, took defensive driving, and have a few other discounts, costs me $1500/6 months through Progressive in NY.

wow they just hate on people who like sports cars. Not fair at all I think they should actually look at the customers record before charging so much i mean good safe drivers deserve good rates.

Re: O this sucks...

They first quoted me 2,500/6 months, after lots of arguing and plenty of discounts, I got it lowered

also it doesn't matter who owns the car, whoever is the driver is who is rated for on the vehicle.
