92 Lesabre still dies while driving

As I drive the engine will just shut off and when i try to restart the engine it will start and die again unless i let it sit for 5 mins or so then i can drive away until the next episode . I have replaced the control module under the coil pack and the crank position sensor . I noticed the solenoid on the emission canister ( a new one ) was clicking rapidly when the engine was running , is this normal ? . Any ideas ? .

thanks , Dave

Re: 92 Lesabre still dies while driving

Dave...I am no technician but I seem to remember reading that the ecm accepts info from the cps at under 400 rpm's. The cam pos sensor feeds the ecm data as well. A failed cam pos sensor can have the same results as the crank pos sensor. On my 92 Lesabre they are both in the same area so I replaced them both when I had this problem and I haven't had a problem since. Just a thought. Good luck.

Might want to check the coolant temp sensor and the oxygen sensor if the other things don't work.
