Same old question - looking for different answer...

Hey guys - I just bought a 1995 accord with 172,000 miles on it from a friend. its a great car, and I got a great deal on it. I changed the spark plugs today, to find oil on one of the spark plugs (threads, not electrodes). Thanks to this forum, ive found out that its most likely the valve cover gasket kit parts (rubber spark plug seal or something) that I need. I also read that its a good time to go in and check/adjust my valves.

my question is this...

has anyone written up the procedure to do these things? I can replace a valve cover gasket, but im curious how much work it is to get the cover off, (how much junk is in the way). Also, I dont know the procedure for checking/adjusting the valves. I have a full garage of tools (rock crawling hobbyist, toyota tacoma is my other vehicle..http://www.nc4x4.com/mike) and can find my way around an engine with no trouble.

anyone want to give me any pointers for this job? I did buy the haynes manual just to help me out when I need it...

thanks!

ps. ive been around AF since the beginning. I was a moderator of the tacoma forums from day 1, but the tacoma forum never took off quite like this one. I appreciate any help you guys can give, and I hope to be back here for years to come keeping this car in good shape.

Mike
