(almost)went down flooded road

didnt realize water was that deep thanks to florida hurricanes anyways i pushed car out of the water, tryed starting for about 20 minutes,finally it started but was shooting a rooster tail out of muffler , and started shuttering at different speeds, and makes a funny noise when shifts into 2nd or 3rd. i changed the oil, should i check or change anything else thanks juelle (previously ran great 2000 mitsubishi galant 2.4)

If it's auto trans, I would change that fluid too.
