Just as expensive to mod as anything else. I can really help you on a suggestion for price, but I can tell you it is a good solid car. However, if you can stretch your budget alil, you should aim for a 03+. Those things haul.

Between $18,000-$20,000. The 2001 Mustang Cobra has 320 bhp @ 6000 rpm and 317 lb-ft @ 4750 rpm.

i have the 99 and love it, but as stated earlier try and get an 03 if at all possible. they have been selling in the low $20s if you look hard enough.
