Headlight issue

okay i have some hyperwhite bulbs and they got too hot and melted the stock factory socket...so i got an aftermarket one replaced it and the lights were working fine...then one day the left low beam light stopped working but the high beam was working fine...so i go and switch bulbs to see if it was the bulb and it still wouldnt work...so i check the wiring and everything was connected so i think its a fuse but im not sure which one it is because i dont have the fuse panel diagram...so if anyone knows or has alternate suggestions let me know

Re: Headlight issue

I tried googling up a fuse diagram but came up empty. It sounds like the fuse for your light is too large, where the fuse should be blowing instead of the power melting your wires. On my 2000, the low beam fuses are in the middle row (of three rows) all the way on the right. Right headlight on the right, left headlight on the left of it, both should be 10A fuses. I'd start there if I were you since you have no diagram.

a long time ago I had foglights on my explorer and its max wattage was 55 watts. One light had burned out so I had decided to buy 2 new 105 Watt bulbs. Boy did the housing NOT like the extra heat
