rod knock

i had a problem with losing my oil and heating up my rods this messed up my engine and i put another used engine in it jus recently. i have now i think done the same thing except i still have all my oil and such.. but i hear the knock and my performance has been complty killed.. is this a common thing? does any1 have any ideas or comments or nethin 2 help me out im really desperate and now broke.. thanx

I've not heard of anyone having bad luck like that

If you've got knock, then you need your engine rebuilt.

not common but happened the me a few weekends ago, my cars now selling as a parts car i miss its speed

happened to me as well, got a used engine in it now and no problems, but i have heard it is a common thing on 1st gens
