Re: klze vs. bpt gtr
I would take a BPT GTR over a ZE anyday if I could get both to work properly... Ive HEARD that BPT's tend to have problems though.
A BPT will take a ZE is all the other deciding variable are equal

Re: klze vs. bpt gtr
I'm a big fan of turbo's...not so much 4cyl turbos, but I like a few. I'd take the KLZE. Just because when you get a turbo you're opening up a whole other can of worms. I would keep it naturally aspirated if I were you. I've looked into getting my car turbo'd, whether on a KLZE or a BPT. I've decided just to stick witha natrally aspirated car, then buy a car that comes stock with a turbo. SUPRA TT!!!! sorry...It just came out!
I think it would be easier to get cheap horse power out of the KLZE than it would be on the BPT. I'm not completely sure...but that sounds logical to me!

I got smoked by a friend who owns a gtr
On a start up a klze kills a bpt but when those turbos starts to spool..it doesn't take much till they catch you |

Re: klze vs. bpt gtr
Do they really pull that much harder in the upper rpms?
I'd think that the KLZE would absolutely destroy a bpt. The torque #s on the KLZE have to be alot higher, and the hp #s are higher as well.

I dont know where you got that... a BPT advertises with ~210hp on a lot of JDM motor sites. The KLZE has 197hp.

just so people don't get confused here..
there's 2 kind of bpt..the gtx and gtr gtx: Horsepower: 176 @ 6000rpm (207 @ 6000rpm) Torque: 172 lbs/ft @ 3000rpm (180lbs/ft @ 4500rpm) gtr: Horsepower: 207 @ 6000rpm Torque: 180lbs/ft @ 4500rpm klze is 200hp and 165tq.. so both bpt got better tq and the gtr has better hp too AND the engine is lighter too |

Re: klze vs. bpt gtr
Either way the GS still handles better (which to me is as important if not more than speed power acceleration all that fun stuff) and you got that super cool V6 badge on the back

Re: klze vs. bpt gtr
Is it pretty hard to find a gtr...cause no one ever told me about this. I was under the impression that the BP-t gtx was the only turbo swap for our cars.
As far as the GS's handling...I completely agree! It's so much fun when I go up into the mountains!
