2001 SES Taurus leaking transmission fluid

The day before yesterday I was caught in a traffic jam for about an hour before I was able to get to my house, when I finally got home I stored my car in the garage an left it until yesterday morning. The next morning when I took the car out of the garage it had left a big puddle of transmission fluid. I clean the mess and filled the transmission fluid but this morning there wasn't a single drop of transmission fluid on the garage floor. If anyone can tell me what the problem with my car is I would really appreciate it because I'm really confused. And I recently bought the car and want to know it I bought a lemon.
