V-6 to V-8 Swap

I was thionking of doing a V-8 swap for my V-6 and was wondering if I found a donor car (V-8) if all the parts from it would fit on the V-6 that I have now. Could I just take out the engine, rear end, and other components from the V-8 and fit them perfectly on the V-6 or not? I would think so sine they are the same body, but just wanted to make sure before I get my self in too deep.

Everything fits, perhaps a tad of tinkering but not much...

my friend this question has been asked over and over, week after week. Advise, use the search function

bottom line, everyone has always agreed that all and all a v6-v8 conversion is gonna cost you as much as saving up and buying a v8 to begin with, so save up, sell the 6 and buy an 8. Plus you'll have a higher resale value if its an 8 to begin with instead of it being a converted v6-v8.

Re: V-6 to V-8 Swap

No it does not bolt right up. shinigami is a n00b!!! ;-) You would need to do a fair bit of fabrication. not worth it at all. your better off droping $3000 on a v8. then you arent plauged with problems and work that you probabley wont be able to do anyways. plus you arent without a car for very long that way.
