how Common????

I was just wondering how popular the 3000gt is in the U.S.??

i mean, i know there are plenty of people who use this great forum (ahem, more brownie points for me)

but do you see many 3000gt's floating around when you go out cruising and stuff??? i understand you have meet ups with all other cars in certain areas, do many 3000gt's show up?

im in the uk and they are still quite rare over here im lucky if i see one in a few months driving around its a bonus!

even in the big car meetings we get over here from time to time i only see maybe 1 or 2 if im lucky.....

Given the world wide production numbers, there aren't a lot of cars to go around. When you consider that there are over 300 million registered cars in the US, the chances of seeing one by just chance is pretty small. My town has about 12,000 people in it. I know of three others that have a 3000GT or a Stealth. None of them are the turbo model or a Spyder. Makes me stand out a bit on the road.

Around my area (Kirkland, Washington) There are about 3 I see on a regular basis and easily 10 others that I see floating around (Including a black spyder!! ) They're more common then a lotus but no where near as common as say your typical SUV.

I live in a city with about 900,000 people according to the last census which was in 2000 I think. I see about 5 or 6 in a months time on the road. at the local race gatherings there are 4 n/a including mine and two VR-4 no spyders.....in fact in my 21 years living here I have only seen one spyder and it was auto. (yet another reason why Yogs is the man!)
I also go to shows now like Fast an Furious Music Tour, Hot Import Nights, Import Showoff ect... and this year I have done 6 shows and have yet to see another 3000GT. I'd say they are rare. I have seen more NSXs then 3000GTs in the last year!

By the way BB, Hot Import Nights went international this year! I saw some pics my buddy sent me from the London show a couple of weeks back. Lots of hot and I mean HOT British babes! did you attend?

Re: how Common????

I've seen 2 VR4's in my town in the last year. I've seen 2-3 bases, and a base stealth or 2.

I love the fact that our cars aren't all over the place. Makes them that much better.

Also, the fact that my car will whoop any other car in my company parking lot is satisfying too

Re: how Common????

At my school, there's this "person" with a Stealth. Outside of this place, I've only seen one other GT thus far....don't know what type it was. At home however, I've seen about 3 or 4 of 'em. Hmm....is that still considered rare?

When considering rarity. Realize that there are about a quarter million Accords sold every year in the US alone. There was less then 90K 3000GTs built world wide - ever.

I am not sure about the Stealth production numbers, but I am pretty confident that their number was less then the 3000 run (especially since they were finished after 96)

MAX POWER???? how freaking cool! I love Maxpower, buy it all the time. At first I kinda stayed away from all the DTM stuff and found thier styling to be kinda iffy......I mean pink and baby blue VW's? but after a while you start to think "dam, euro styling is getting outta hand cool". plus my wife is german so she loves the DTM stuff! and the girls....oh my good lord the girls....
