push button 4x4

my buttons quit working will not switch into four high or low any suggestions

Do the lights come on the switches?

no but when i first start they all do and the 4x4 ones shine white they used to be orangeish

Sounds like the vacuum actuator on the transfer case is bad.

ok any help on how to change this and is it expensive? thanks

If you have one, it is located on the driver's side of the xfer case. It will be identified with 3 vacuum hoses on top. It will cost about $25 and you will need a 7/8" deep well socket or a short wrench.

I suggest you pick up a chilton's repair manual.

Cost will be about 20-30 if that is the actual problem.
