Re: Overheat!!!

I'm not too sure, but you might want to start by having the radiator profesionaly flushed. even if that's not teh problem, it'll be benificial.

Re: Overheat!!!

Your engine has severely overheated once. Time for a rebuild!

Re: Overheat!!!

I'm guessing he means two stroke oil, I've heard that its an ok idea to run at a good ratoi to keep the seals lubed although I'm not sure which oil you would use cause I've never ran it in mine which has never had any overheating issues or oil consumption problems.

Re: Overheat!!!

Ok went looking and found that the oil is premix but you need to pre-mix it in a gas can before putting it in your gas to insure a proper mixture.

Re: Overheat!!!

um... what? tell me if i'm translating this wrong: it's a proper ratio gas/oil premix that you put into your tank? sorry, your sentence just didnt' make much sence. i think it was the premix pre-mix/gas can gas combo that threw me off.

Re: Overheat!!!

sry I had the name of the premix oil in there but I'm having key board problems and it cuts somethings out and makes my curser go to different parts of a sentence at times, Pettit makes Protek-R oil and redline makes another premix oil but from what I've read its a good idea to mix the oil in with gas in a seperate gas can before adding it to your gas tank on your car, this just makes sure that the oil is mixed before you take off down the road although it will mix after you have driven a while and caused your gas to slosh around. Sry for the confusion.

Re: Overheat!!!

Not really all it does is lube the seals like MBTN said if your engine has already overheated then its time for a rebuild.
