94 Chev. truck cruse control

Cruse control help. I am looking for a manual or something that will tell me how to not only check out my curse control but find just where everything is located. Have a 94 3/4 ton diesel. Any help would be appreciated as I don't want to give my dealer a thousand dollars...

Is deffinatlly a cruse problem. Cuts out at all speeds but only does it when you use the cruse. I have checked chilton and haynes books and neither cover much on the cruse control. Chev. said it was probably the module (thinking that is what he called it) so thought if I could find it and it didn't look to bad I would change it out myself with either a new one or maybe a used one if I could find one.

I wish I could help, I have full service manuals (4 volume set) but it only covers 1996 and up. And you are right Chilton and Haynes have very minimal info on the suject.
