Break problems? (Honda Accord 88)

Heya, I've got this very annoying problem with my car, here goes;

There's a sound (squeeeking sound to be specific) that comes from the front-right wheel, I've taken the wheel off, and as I'm no car-expert I havent really found anything that seemed wrong (compared it to other side which.... looks the same but doesnt make an annoying sound.). What is also noticable is that the area around the right wheel is frighteningly hot compared to the left side after having taken a drive (at normal speed offcourse.)

I was in the beginning thinking that something might have jammed between the various components making that sound but as the sound doesnt happen when it's in neutral I've disregarded that idea. (the sound is also there when i reverse but the sound is abit different then.)

Any suggestion on what I should do or what the problem could be? I'm thinking break's (they are ventilated disc's or whatever it's called in english ) oh, and I'll even post some pictures should it be necessary.

thanks in advance for ANY advice.

actually, it did happen even when in neutral...

And got it confirmed from a "know-it-all" that it's the break blocks.

Kinda disturbing that one of the break blocks is more worn than the other, wasnt THAT much but it was noticable...

so, I'm sending it to my repairdude to change em, thanks for reading this if anyone did

Re: Break problems? (Honda Accord 88)

You have a frozen caliper bolt. The brake caliper floats around the rotor. That means it is supposed move slightly when you put on the brakes. Being you only have one piston and two brake pads the caliper will squeeze both sides of the pads against the rotor. When the piston releases, the caliper moves and both pads move away from the rotor. Solution, take out the bottom caliper bolt and hone the cylinder with a 10 mm hone. If the bottom bolt comes out easily, then check the top bolt. The bottom bolt has a rubber bushing attached, so if it doesn't come out with the bolt it is stuck in the cylinder. Then replace the pads on both wheels.
