cold starting

My Olds Firenza will not start cold unless you loosen the disributor, move it to the right and then back over to the left. Car will stert and run well. Let it set overnight and no cold starting unless you rotate distributor to the right and then back to the left.Engine is 2.0 L OHC engine.I have tried all normal routes. HELP!

the pick up coil inside your dist is bad. If you have a hall unit in the dist, replace that also
