1996 Hombre

Does anyone here have a 1996 Isuzu Hombre with a standard tranny? Just wanna know if they are good trucks, how many miles they should be good for, and how old they can get without any major problems.

Re: 1996 Hombre

I own a 1996 Isuzu Hombre 4-cyl, 5-speed P/U truck. Gotta tell you, I love this truck. Have over 122,000 miles and I've only changed the Battery, Brakes, Flasher, Indicator Lights, and re-charged the A/C. It's a great little truck and it gets about 450 miles per fill-up of the 17 gallon tank. The only thing I can only say to do with your current or future Hombre is, keep it as current on oil changes and brake changes as you can. From what I understand, it's a Chevy S-10/GMC Sonoma truck that Isuzu just stamped their name on. That is a plus because GM parts are not too expensive, easy to acquire form Auto Zone or Pep Boys, and they are work horses. Good luck.
