sleepy eye mod question

i have a 1993 PGT and i recently read about how to do the sleepy eye mod on a 96 or 97 PGT and it said to pull the boot covering off of the turning knob and also to remove the fuse that controls the motor. well i did all this and got the lights all ligned up and when i put the fuse back in the headlights reset themselves. is there something else i have to do or is the 93 just not capeable to do this type of conversion? please help

i have a 93 probe and i always have my headlights sleepy u did everything right but dont put the retractor fuse back in leave it out and they will stay how u want them the only bad thing about this mod is that ur lights shine about 3 to 4 feet in front of ur car and makes it almost impossible 2 see at night. if u put ur brites on it helps a little
