Exhaust Gsx ?????
i want to buy the 3" piping from cat-back and i need to know if that will bolt on directly to the 2.5" cat or if there is an adapter needed. It says direct replacement to stock so you'd think that it would adapt to the 2.5" cat inlet? Please let me know if im wrong or what's right. thanks.

Re: Exhaust Gsx ?????
You won't see much of a performance gain from a 3" catback after the stock DP and cat. The stock cat is one of the most restrictive items, along with the multitude of resonators under there with it! If I were you I would buy a 3" downpipe with mandrel bends, a high flow cat, and have a muffler shop do a custom 3" press bent (or mandrel if they have it) from the cat back. Your smallest bends won't be narrower than 2.5 even if you get pressbent from the cat back, so unless you plan on going bigger than 16g or so, you should be good to go for a long time and actually have cash left over to spend on that turbo!

Re: Exhaust Gsx ?????
All of the rice brand catbacks neck down to the stock cat size. IIRC, 2.5" flange WILL bolt up to the stock exhaust even though its smaller. Some have the neck down welded in, others have it as a seperate adapter. There is more info on the RRE fake 3" exhaust page.
As mentioned earlier its better to get a matched system, wether you buy all the pieces or make them, or a little of each like mine. A properly matched system will make it worth the money. RRE downpipe is jsut over 200 bucks and high flow 3" cats ring in around 100 bucks if you need to stay legal. If you dont want/need a cat get the "long" RRE downpipe and eliminate the other junction entirely. In this no cat example its only ~200 (230?) more to do it right. And you'll know its all the same size flange
