96 yukon tranny

when engaging trans into reverse, it will move ok at idle speed.
when accelerating it sounds like a gear is stripped. put in neutral and then back in reverse it catches as it should . think it could be a major trans job or ???????????? please help.

sounds like the "sun-shell" {internal trans part} may be damaged
most shops won't just "repair",,,,but you might find one that will!!!!
2nd and o/d will act funny if that fails also!!!!

i had the dealer replace my trans with a certa trans for 3000 what a rip off i didint have the time to do it. but i get a 50000 mile warrenty with it
