Question Brakes clicking

Hello all,

I just purchased a used Xterra last Sat. I love it, but I noticed something that has disturbed me. When I brake hard I hear a clicking noise coming from what sounds like the front right wheel area. It's a constant clicking until I ease off of the brake. It only happens when im braking hard. I read stuff about ABS, but I'm still unclear. I don't know if that applies to this situation. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Info: 2002 Nissan Xterra V6 XE 4x4 (Not Supercharged), 21,000 Miles

Re: Brakes clicking

Can't say that I would think it's at all ABS-related.
Many brake shops offer a free inspection, take advantage of one.
OR, just schedule a free 100-point inspection of your Xterra w/ your Nissan dealer, they're having their annual October Free Inspection promotion this month.

That's because if you have bad brakes, they can't legally let you leave without fixing them. A nice way to get a captive customer.

It's not ABS unless you were braking hard on wet or icy roads, then you could hear a "clicking" noise. For sure have the brakes checked out. Let us know what is found.
