Re: amp wiring help..............

Are you talking about the gound wire or the hot wire? The ground wire can go to a frame bolt in the trunk area. The hot wire best goes to the battery via a fuse. It is not a good idea to drill through the firewall. If you look under the drivers side dash, you may find a plastic plug that is unused and you can poke a hole there and take it to the battery.

Re: amp wiring help..............

I would not recommend any drilling into the firewall. There is too much of a chance of drilling into airconditioning piping or into a wire bundle. Also a drilled hole is now a spot for rust to form. Wire is cheap and the extra 8 feet of 10-12 GA wire is a lot cheaper then trying to trying to fix a damaged wire bundle or hole in a pipe. Running the wire on the left side also lets you use an existing wire channel which runs on the left side under the door.

Re: amp wiring help..............

It is best to find an existing wire going through the firewal and run your wire through the rubber grommet. However leave the grommet in the hole and just poke a small hoel to get the wire through. That why it seals itself. Remember just a small hole, smaller then than the wire. The reaso I say to leave the rubber grommet in is because it is bitch to get back in and you will be cussing in a storm and it may tear too. There are a couple of openings on the passenger side, so take out your glove compartment and you will see them. Good luck
