tranny acting funny..

hi,

i got this weird thing going on and it seems to be coming from the A/T.

if i put in on PARK or NEUTRAL and rev the engine to 3500 - 4000 RPM and hold it there for 2 - 3 seconds, and then let go the throttle, as the rev come down, it make a loud CLUNK, just like if the tranny wanted to do forward.. it varies from how fast i let got the throttle... if i go softly if the clunking noise if softer.... i know i shouldn't rev the engine there but i discovered this by accident...

as for the normal drving and all.. the tranny goes very well no hard shifting or anything.. even at full WOT..

anybody got a clue? or is it something mystical beyond your knowledge ?

The rev limiter should stop it at 3500-4000rpms

this is easy.

Doctor doctor, my arm hurts when i bend it this way, solution, don't bend it that way!

Tman, tman, my motor clunks after revving to 4000 in park!, solution....

Tranny or engine mounts.. I wouldn't rev it that high for no reason in neutral and you won't have issues..
