Re: engine swap Skyline gt

Yes, u can get almost any engine with money, but it would probably be expensive, and the 4g is already a good engine.

Re: engine swap Skyline gt

actually i dont think it can be done, the motor is to long and with the RWD tranny there would be a big gaping hole is the dash and fire wall. al and all its not worth it.

Re: engine swap Skyline gt

You can do anything if you have the money, which you don't. Why WOULD it be possible to fit a 6cyl nissan into a 4cyl mitsubishi? who the hell would do that?

Re: engine swap Skyline gt

plus with the money that it took to do the swap could make you faster then you would ever be with that stock skyline motor

Re: engine swap Skyline gt

yeah it does, i think anything is possible with money. But if u were to put a RB25DET (Skyline GTS-T) engine into a Eclipse, u'll need lots of motor mounts, and other important things to support the i-6 engine.

Re: engine swap Skyline gt

If your planning on doing a swap like that... i'd suggest swapping your engine with the 6.6l duramax diesal out of Silverado 2500hd. The difficulty of the install should be near the skyline engine, maybe a little harder, but look at it this way, it's a turbocharged v8, it's a 605ft. lb of torque bolt on, and since it's diesal, it will prolly be fuel efficiant!
EDIT: Plus it will have that low deep rumble everyone's looking for.

Obviously j/k, but if you wanna do a swap like that, than you also might wanna suggest removing what you said about buying a gsx and start looking, cause with the money you'd spend, you can buy a couple of nice gsx's.
