Heaven/Hell and Multiple dimensions

Question:
Could Heaven/Hell be one place or multiple dimensions of a persons thoughts.

Lets say there exists a Heaven and Hell. Some say heaven is total bliss and Hell is the opposite of that. Some say Heaven represents all your likes and Hell is your dislikes. So far so good. But lets say your Heaven includes friends and family that you care about and are in there with you. The problem I have with this concept is if Heaven is your own personal likes (no bad stuff etc) what if your friend/family see it differently. In thier view their Heaven might be different. You might not even be in their Heaven. Therefore wouldn't it be multiple Heavens (dimensions), one for each person. Each one with a view or concept of the desires for that individual and not a gathering place for all (like what we have here on earth).

What do you folks think?

I guess it all depends on what heaven really is, assuming there is one of course. We can all speculate, but let's face it, we aren't going to know until our time comes. By the time you or i know what the deal is, there's no way for us to come back and tell anyone. Personally, i think that when you die, that's that. No heaven, no hell. No spirit travelling through the ether for eternity. You die, and you rot.

I agree with you, but I'm just playing devils advocate here and since alot of folks do think there is a heaven and hell I just wanted to see what others think of the senario I talk about.

Keep em coming.

What if heaven IS hell? The one thing all of us yearn for is perfection... the perfect job, the perfect home, the perfect love, a perfect existence where all is as we desire. And yet, would that still be perfect? Wouldn't this "perfect" life be denying us the one true thing that makes us human -- the chaos equation, the unexpected, the imperfect. So, if heaven existed, and hell existed, perhaps they aren't multiple dimensions, instead, just one and the same. Like life. I know I wouldn't want perfection. I like to think I would, but I wouldn't. So, were there some other plane of existence beyond this one, perhaps it doesn't deal in such black and white definitions as "Heaven" and "Hell." Maybe instead, they're the same dimension... one that is merely an extension of the life we experience here, now... our lives forever continuing (don't we always want more time?) The good parts and the bad. Heaven and Hell.

Interesting view on it. Makes one wonder, something so perfect might end up being so boring, etc.

That point was made pretty well by, believe it or not, the Matrix. Agent Smith stated that the machines attempted to make a "perfect" world for the humans but they couldn't handle it, they needed imperfections to function.
