89 Grand Am will not start

89 Grand Am will not start. It was working fine after putting in a new oil pan, new exhaust, and new battery. before it broke down it would stall when trying to take off from a complete stop.

What size engine do you have. Check the crank position sensor you may have damaged it when you removed the oil pan.

It is located on the engine block just above the oil pan rail. The book doesn't say whether it is front or rear. It may also be located on the timing chain cover near the vibration damper.
