I need sugestions for pipes for a 2000 taco reg cab short bed. i want a low/deep sound that sounds nothing like the rice rocket hondas and acuras, now before all you honda and acura enthusiests get upset i drive a honda myself so don't trip. i like the flowmaster sound but there's no where around here to pick 'em up, and i don't know if they make 'em for my ride

Re: Pipes
I don't think they sell a bolt on cat back kit for a tacoma, but you can still buy the muffler and fab your own or have a muffler shop do it. I would go flowmasters website and look for the nearest dealer and take a road trip.

Re: Pipes
I'd recommend Magnaflow, and I believe they may have a cat-back kit if you're so inclined. Having a local exhaust shop install the muffler and route the pipe(s)/tip(s) is cheaper and will still give you the sound you're after.
I understand the Flowmaster 40 series has become very common in this application. Good luck! Take care, Jerry

I have a 3" cat-back Magnaflow with the stubby-style muffler and it sounds fabulous. Although, I haven't heard any tacos with a Flowmaster so I can't compare... sorry
