wire help

I am going to be doing some work on a 02 mustang gt for a guy from my work. I need to know the best place to run a wire from the engine compartment through the fire wall, to the interior. Also if anyone has any tips on easy ways to get it though, that would be geatly apprechiated (spelled wrong). I know when i tried it on my grand prix, it took me almost an hour to finally fish it out.

Thanks, Ryan

Re: wire help

On my car I ran a power wire through the hole in the firewall where the underdash harness exits to the engine compartment. I simply took a sharp knife and made a small hole in the rubber boot that seals around the harness in the firewall. I made the hole only large enough for the wire to slip through but still have a good seal around the wire. (an extra hand to hold a flashlight never hurts) So far it works great for me. Hope this helps! And good luck!

agreed. use a little black rtv to make a good seal around the wire.

and as a side note, it's 'appreciated' =)
