Hey everyone! I am thinking about buying a 2001 Black over 2-tone Gray Leather. I found it for a great price but I had a couple questions.
1.) Why do some 01s come with different wheels then others? I noticed some have those 03’ Town Car looking wheels and then some have more chunky/wider fitting wheels. 2.) The one I am looking at has this very handsome wood trim around the dash, shifter, and steering wheel. I noticed while looking at some pics online of these cars that most I came across didn’t have the wood around the shifter or steering wheel? Why is that? 3.) Do they all come with 2-tone leather? I love the charcoal / med. Gray combo in the one I am looking at. 4.) What are some things I should take into consideration when taking it for a test drive? Noises, feels, anything at all! 5.) Finally is there anything else noteworthy I should take into consideration before buying… listen to me I’ve already spent my money before the test drive Even if you don't think you can help if you could point me in the right direction on where to find any information at all on late model Continentals that would be great too! Thanks everyone!! Wish me luck! I am just coming off an Oldsmobile Aurora high but I think this car may just do the trick… ( my other half owns a 98 mark so we might as well keep Lincoln in the family)

The chrome rims, wood steering wheel, and two-tone leather are included with the "Luxury Appearance" package that became available after 1998. Currently, I am trying to find one of those wood steering wheels for my 1998 Continental. I think that the package really adds a lot of class to an already gorgeous car.

I would recommend scanning the PCM (computer) OBDII (Onboard Diagnostics) system for the condition of the vehicle. Could tell you a lot about potential expense. Also Carfax would tell you where the vehicle has been registered....etc.
