D15B1 is a POS............

I haven't driven any other honda's so far and am not curious to how much better say a D16A6, D16Z6 or D16Y8 is. Has any one ever driven both a D15B1 and then a D16Z6 Vtec? I don't know if it's me or what but the d15 is weak. Now how weak is it from experience and how much am I missing from......say......driving a 95 ex coupe civic? Is the D15B1 peppy or am I missing out on the honda stock performance action?

Re: D15B1 is a POS............

yea man, really huge difference even between a d15b1 and the d16a6. me and brian (hybrid1990crx) took a run against each other the one night and he killed me by like 3 car lengths or something...and that was with his timing off. i have a video of it too, haha.

Re: D15B1 is a POS............

I concur. I sent from D15B, to ZC, to B16 and its not hard to know wich is the most fun.

I couldn't believe the DX motor.. One time I tried to see how fast it could go and I had a hard time getting above 120km (around 80mph) and now I can't believe that all I have to do is give the gas a nudge and I'm from 120 to 180 in seemingly no time..

Re: D15B1 is a POS............

d15b1 motor is the worst ever... my bro has that motor in his car (stock) except 5zigen exhaust, and when we are driving next to each other, he will be in 2nd gear, i will be in 4th gear and i will just step on the gas and just pull away...lol... but i think the d15b1 has like 70-80 hp (so like hybrid1990crx said "drop the d and get a b") lol!!!!
