Blower Motor dead. is there an upgrade?

Okay, it appears from a quick SEARCH that the blower motors in GM trucks are prone to failure. Or just the resistors. Regardless, I would like to replace the OEM-quality blower with an upgraded unit if possible. More power, longer life, etc. In Texas we need all the cooling we can get, so I wouldn't mind paying more for a more powerful blower.

Is there an upgraded blower motor available?

1998 3500 Crew, 7.4 L.
