Radiator

I ahve a 95 grand am gt 3.1 and the radiator has a crack down the right side in the plastic. I tried to us JB weld on it but it crack that too. Im going to have to replace it now i guess but i was wondering if there was something that made it do that. It also runs like shit i dont know if its because of the leak or what but when you hit the gas it wont go and makes sort of a putt noise like its missing or something.

Re: Radiator

Teh plastic tanks get weak over time, and it was probably just weak. The other thing it could be is an intake leak. It will cause excessive pressure to build up in the cooling system, and your radiator tank was the weakest spot. The putt noise is likely the vacuum leak a bad intake gasket causes.
