ebrake adjustinments
hey can anyone out there confirm this one for me. i need to adjust the ebrake in my car. i believe i need to do it the part where the single cable fromm inside the car splits into two separate cable that goes to each tire. or do i need to take out the center console and adjust something under there? any help is always appreciated. thanks

Re: ebrake adjustinments
ok thats what i thought too. but my last car i had to take out the console to adjust it. its set so loose somehow it barely keeps the car still when im idling. got a little worried and checked the brakes but they were fine. ok well thanks

i have a 99 trans am and i adjusted it by taking out the center console. You are supposed to be able to adjust the tension of the cable from where the handbrake is in your console. There is no point in going under your car unless the cable is not connected at all there. (which was the case in my car).

Re: ebrake adjustinments
I have a 97 LT1 and Everything I read about it in the Chilton talks about adjusting it where the cable connects to the rotor on each of the back tires...
