95 S-10 Buzzer Alarm

I have a 95 S-10 Pickup and the seatbelt alarm will not shut off....when the problem first presented itself, I found a disconnected ground wire near the driver's side rear tail light, after alittle sanding of the contact area and a new washer, the alarm went off and life was good again....now it is back and after redoing the rear connection and tearing things apart looking for another disconnected ground, I am stumped....does anyone have a wiring diagram for the buzzer alarm...?? What I am hoping is that I can trace the wire back to something that might be loose. The alarm comes on once I insert the key....the car is not even on....once the key gets all the way into the ignition switch the buzzing starts and doesn't shut off....Any Help would be greatly appreciated...

Are you sure it is the seatbelt buzzer and not the key in the ignition with door open buzzer?

Check your door plunger switches.

yip, one of the door switches is broken.

Tail lights has nothing to do with the internal buzzer.

S-10 Alarm Buzzer

Thanks guys, I will give it a try....now that you mention it the dome light does not come on when the driver's side door is open, so the door switch might be jammed....I will take a look at it right now...

No problem about the Harder door slam joke....

S-10 Alarm Buzzer

The tail lights, in fact all the lights went out on me last time the buzzer wouldn't shut off...got pulled over twice on the way home from work because no taillights on....but when I applied the brakes the brake lights worked....it was crazy, but the problem was that ground wire....

Here's to hoping that the door plunge switch works....

Yea, it should be a door switch that is busted.
