Re: Turbo or N/A?

Depends on the car and what I want to do with it. For a CRX I want a 220~hp responcive high revving NA for soloII and tight and twisty tracks.
but now if I had some bigger beast that needs power for the strip for the long halls then turbo all the way

i would say mild boost. 1) so you can take it to the strip and turn up the boost. 2) so you can still race road courses(under control).
i have a quick Q. what the hell do you need a BOV for...i know it sounds cool and all but do you really need it? i like the sleeper thing and wouldent want them to hear that i have boost(no BOV). the only reasion i ask is cuz most (or all) cars that come turbo from the factory do not have a blow off valve.

Re: Turbo or N/A?

you need a BOV to prevent compressor surge, you can recirculate it to reduce the noise.

I'm going to be building one of each.

My hatch is a all out turbo setup, t3/t04e w/ built internals (will be done by spring, everything is finally comming together). It should be ~350whp and low 11's . Not daily driveable though.

My 91 CRX Si is going all motor. relativly simple setup. Y8 head on stock a6 block, I/H/E, and a cam. might squeeze it a little, looking to get that into the low 14s w/ full interior. Its a daily driver so im trying to keep it as stock as possable w/o being too slow.
