Get your priorities straight mum!

Last october, my brother needed a part for his mountain bike, so he asked if he could "borrow" the part from my mountain bike, and I said "yes" on the conditions that once he gets his new bike, he put it back. Well, Novermber 1st, his birthday, new bike

IT'S NOW SEPTEMBER THE 30TH, 11 MONTHS LATER, AND HE STILL HASN'T FIXED MY GODDAMN BIKE

Here's where MUM comes in

My asshole brother has a good bike (whilst I don't have one at all) yet has been bitching at mum and dad to buy him a BRAND NEW FUCKING BIKE AGAIN, for about 3 months. 6 weeks ago, my guitar amp BLEW UP. Rendering me amp-less. Inturn, I have to buy a new one, as repairing it would cost way to much. Yet, they are not going to buy me the amp when I desperatly need it, and are going ahead and buying my asshole brother a new bike that's higher in cost than my fucking amp will be, even though, he already has, a perfectly good, working, stable bike, and doesn't need a new one, yet I am desperately needing a new amp.

What the fuck?

Did I miss something here?
I said to my asshole brother "why the hell do you need a new bike?" he said "I want one". I said "that doesn't answer my question". Then, without missing a beat, he turns around, and sacastically says "why do you need a new amp". So, I didn't just tell him exactly why, I fucking showed him the burnt circuit board.

...Yet mum still sees a bike more important.

He has a perfectly good bike, I ride it all the time when he's not. This is where I get pissed off. I need a new fucking amp, yet he needs new tires, rims, wheeles, seats, handel bars, grips, accesories that do nothing, new cable covers, ETC, ETC, ETC, SHE KEEPS BUYING HIM ALL THIS CRAP THAT HE DOESN'T FUCKING NEED, WHILST I AM HAVING TO BEG ALMOST PERFECT STRANGERS TO BORROW THEIR AMPS FOR GIGS, GET YOUR FUCKING PRIORITIES STRAIGHT MUM

...Yet mum still thinks that another perfectly good working bike is more important, that replacing something that doesn't work

How did he manage to convince her to get him a new bike? If he doesnt like the old one, take it off his hands and sell it.

Re: Get your priorities straight mum!

I am wondering why its your moms responsibility to buy you a new amp? Its not like she broke the amp you were using.

Dont blame mum dude, I do see your point though, a new bike for no reason??? not right. but you could let him get the new bike, then steal it along with the current one and sell em both to get the amp.
so who's the oldest? you or him?

I am still wondering why it's mums responsibility to buy my brother another bike. She doesn't ride the one he's got?

I have to spent 800 bucks in 18 days (the 18th of oct) for car rego, I don't have 800 bucks, so I'm fucked on that part.

I'm older than my brother, I'm 18, he's 15

I asked mum about this shit last night, the only thing she had to say was "you'll get your amp"
Right..when? 5 months? 8 months after he gets his bike that he doesn't need? Fuck this. Until then, I will use my mates 4w thing. My head is bigger than this amp.

thanks for teh feedback.

Sell his shit and buy yours. He doesn't need two bikes.

Re: Get your priorities straight mum!

a 15 year old still needs his mother to buy him things. at 18 you should be pretty much self sufficient. i don't see how your broken amp should be one of your mothers priorities. if you can't afford something, then you'll have to do without it until you can. It's life.

I love riding a bike, and I love the exercise.

I have a job. Every cent I've earned this year is locked away, and I can't touch it until my car rego has come.
