hey, i bought a 1997 2 dr tahoe used from a dealer and it turns out the car was a government car and they got the cheapest headlight configuration. It has an abnormal sealed beam headlight instead of the normal composite headlights and i was wondering if there is a way to change them. Assuming i had all of the mounting parts, new headlights, new grille, and everything related, i was wondering if i can change the lights electrically. I noticed that the wires to the sealed beam headlights plug in to the back of the light in one spot and in the composite lights, they plug into two spots and there is another wire to plug in a side light that my car doesnt seem to have. Am I overcomplicating this, do i just need to buy some harnesses or adapters, will i need to completly strip the wires, or is it not possible? thanks to anyone who can help.

Re: sealed beam headlight to composite
www.fullsizechevy.com has tech articles on how to do that swap. I don't know if you have to be a member or not to read the articles. It lists part #'s and installations instructions. Hope this helps -Chris
