Gude=good?
Wow my first post, this is such a special moment for me.
Well right now i have a 1999 Eclipse RS and i really wanna do something to the engine that no one else has. I by chance found a ad for gude.com in the back of some import magazine. Basically you ship your stock engine to them and the do machine work on it and replace pretty much everything port and polish the heads, new clutch, cams, headers throttle body etc. I was wondering if anyone has any type of experience with this company or any of its services/products. It seems like a pretty cool racing company. Of course if I have this work done on my engine it wont be quite street legal but no one is lookin under my hood that will write me a ticket. The most oblivious reason i want to do this is for the speed and to maybe trick a few hondas into racin a lowly RS. Does any one think goin the 'all motor' route is smart for speed or would i be better off gettin a gst/gsx? |

Re: Gude=good?
It will be too expensive to ship your entire damn motor for work, but don't waste your money. You can turbo your car, or buy a GST/GSX/TSI. I would recommend test driving a GSX/GST then re-evaluating the situation.

hahaha, just kidding man, that "special moment" part just sounded funny at 6AM here in CA. With a CalculusII midterm I know nothing about today, it makes it sound even more hilarious. Everything seems full of humor if you've not studied for a BIG FAT EXAM. Anyways, I agree with joe, test driving the turbo models will change your opinion. my friend got a 96 GST over a 99 RS. He knew nothing about eclipses, and him and his dad just happened to test drive the faster models on that day aswell. before, he said that it didnt matter, he just wanted an eclipse. AFTER driving a GST, he was a little more precise. He then wanted an Eclipse TURBOOOO.
