Re: LINK: Fujimi Murcielago Finished PICS & PROCESS

Very nice builds on that site, thanks for the link. I think I've seen some of those models before.
Anybody know if the wheels on that Murcielago are the standard Fujimi wheels that come with the kit? 'Cause they look just fine to me.

Fujimi's Murcielago wheels are masterfully molded. The plating is a little too light to my taste, but Alclad II can easily improve the look.

Are they the same wheels that are on the Diablo SE30? They look pretty similiar. Anyone know what size they are?

Cheers

Re: LINK: Fujimi Murcielago Finished PICS & PROCESS

I think someone will always post a link to this site each time a new model is realeased, as the builder seems to work quite quickly, and to have the kits before anybody else (remember the Fujimi 355?...)

For other builds of this eye catcher, have a look here: http://www2.comco.ne.jp/~garage/index.html
& here: http://www.phoenix-c.or.jp/~mizutani/index.html

Thanks to AF builders for trying unusual colors! Green Murci will soon become as boring as red Enzo and silver Carrera GT!

Agree... but a bit hard to read.
Nice model though.

Re: LINK: Fujimi Murcielago Finished PICS & PROCESS

Hey, he has the 40th anniversary version uploaded now too! The engine bay seems to scrubs up nicely, I wonder how much extra effort went into it?
I've ordered a deluxe version from R10 so it should be here a couple of weeks. Looks like I'll soon be building my first street car in I don't know how long
So what is the final verdict on the wheels and tyres, are they the correct width, diameter and everything? I want to use the factory wheels but want them to look right. I'd appreciate it if those who've built/building the kit can give their opinion.

Do Fujimi supply the tiny white Lanborghini scripts for the brakes? Either as decals or raised detail?

I dont think so. You know, the brakes are completely innaccurate (the calipers and the E-brake calipers are completely in different shape than the real Brembo kit). And its price is $57 CAD in my local shop.
